The West Scranton Youth Center provides free and accessible athletic, arts, and wellness opportunities for youth throughout Lackawanna County and surrounding communities. Our goal is simple: give every child the opportunity to participate, learn, grow, and belong — regardless of their family's ability to pay.
Youth wrestling instruction, training, competition, teamwork, and character development.
Youth swimming instruction and competitive team opportunities that build skills, confidence, and sportsmanship.
The Youth Center is also used by other area youth sports teams for strength, conditioning, and athletic development.
Full-scale youth theater productions that give young people opportunities to perform, create, and build confidence on stage as well as hands-on opportunities for to learn the behind-the-scenes skills that bring a production to life.
Music instruction and performance opportunities for youth of varying experience levels.
Programs and camps focused on physical activity, healthy lifestyles, confidence, and overall well-being.
Our programs are offered free of charge to participating youth, removing financial barriers that can prevent children from experiencing athletics, arts, music, theater, and wellness opportunities.
Our administration is 100% volunteer-based. Stipends are paid to our program directors.
100% of the money we raise goes toward supporting our youth programs and the children who participate in them.
Your support turns directly into opportunities for kids.
